Only Tithes Will Tell took me through a journey because it made me stop and think about how I see the church myself. This book dealt with some real situations all the way down to preachers that we know are only in it for the money and aren’t the most morally upstanding folks they pretend to be. Does this book step on some toes? Yes! And, is it warranted and needed? Yes!
Each person reading this book will get something different out of it. That all depends on where you are spiritually and your own personal perception of the church and what it means to be a “good” Christian. One thing I think all who read this book will be able to agree on is that Johnson is a voice in the Christian fiction genre that we should all should get to know because she is at the beginning of what appears to be a very promising career!
